Floor-standing speaker-φ(f)

This is a speaker that was built with perfection in mind in every area of design, a speaker that has as its rule the golden ratio φ, the name of which comes from Phidias who used the natural number as a reference for the proportions of his works. The materials used are of the highest quality and work together for the best possible sound result. The aim of this construction is to create intense emotions by gaining sensations that the average music reproduction construction is not expected to satisfy. Thanks to its design and sophisticated finish, it manages to look like a particularly elegant construction with a high WAF despite its relatively large size. The cabin is constructed with 2.5-6cm thick wood and sufficient reinforcements to avoid any resonances. Its shape helps reduce standing waves and creates a transmission line loading approach which delivers rich lows and in combination with the placement of the hole in the rear bottom, midrange frequencies are ideally isolated. Additional robustness to the low is provided by the lining of the internal surfaces with pisofyl, ricofon-type foam and sheep’s wool. The loudspeaker units, arranged in a D’Appolito (WTW) arrangement, come from leading European manufacturers (Visaton – Scanspeak) in order to meet even the highest requirements. The resonant frequencies of the low-frequency loudspeaker and the high-frequency loudspeaker are located as far away as possible from the crossover frequency, which is noticeable in the comfort and flow of the musical program. Frequency response: 30-20,000 Hz Sensitivity: 91 db Impedance: 4 Ohm Frequency separation: 6 db/octave (1st order) Cabinet loading: Low frequency reflex port Minimum recommended power amplifier: 100 wrms/4ohm
